How to Revive Outdoor Table

@TheStyleHosts’ tips for renewing your outdoor timber table

A meal shared with loved ones, picnics, and barbeques – many of our best stores were made around our furniture. Investing some time to breathe new life into these old and tired outdoor furniture pieces lets those stories live on. Armed with patience, imagination, and Feast Watson’s Timber & Deck Stain in Grey Mountain Ash, @thestylehosts renewed this vintage outdoor table to create an evergreen fixture for their home.

Feast Watson’s Timber & Deck Stain reinvigorates your timber, accentuating its natural grain, beauty and character. This deep, decadent stain is great for outdoor furniture care as it protects the timber from weather conditions such as rain, UV, and mould so that it can continue preserving and creating memories.

Preparation

  1. Get yourself an old, worn-out outdoor table that shows promise or just pick a piece you have at home that needs some upkeep.
  2. Sand the surface back to bare timber. Make sure to clean the surface afterwards.
  3. Get the timber ready for renewal. Dilute Feast Watson’s Woodclean (11 parts Woodclean to 4 parts water) and stir well. Wet your timber well and apply the product. Scrub it in, leave it on for 20 minutes and then rinse off.

Application

  1. Once the timber has dried, mix your tin of Timber & Deck Stain in Grey Mountain Ash well, making sure not to incorporate any bubbles.
  2. With a brush, apply the stain, working the product into the timber along the grain. Note: The product can be used on more than just your outdoor table. It can be used on both exterior and exterior doors, windows, and decks.
  3. After 12 hours have elapsed, apply coat number 2. The second coat will deepen the stain’s colour but still keep the timber grain visible.

The final touch

  1. Have your loved ones over to create more everlasting memories.
