Achieve your timber renovation masterpiece with Feast Watson Proofseal.
Proofseal locks in timbers tannin and oils, ensuring your timber never loses its colour and adhesion caused by natural oils leaking over time.
Our Proofseal is perfect for naturally oily timbers such as Spotted Gum, Brush Box and Tallowwood. Proofseal reduces any tendency for lighter coloured timbers to darken once they are top coated.
Enjoy your beautiful timber finish, knowing your timber is protected with Proofseal.
NOTE
Proofseal can be overcoated with Feast Watson Clear Varnish, Weatherproof Varnish, Timber Floor Stain & Varnish Liming White, and Timber Floor Stain & Varnish Black Japan.
Proofseal should NOT be used under Feast Watson Timber & Deck Stain, Outdoor Furniture Oil, or Timber Floor Oil.
Sand to a smooth surface and remove all sanding dust before coating.
Look to achieve a super-smooth finish? Apply a coat of Feast Watson Sanding Sealer and sand back as per the directions prior to applying Proofseal.
Previously Coated Timber
If your timber has been previously varnished, you need to sand back to bare timber to ensure the best results. Remember to remove all sanding dust before coating!
How to apply Feast Watson Proofseal:
Make sure to stir Proofseal thoroughly before and during application with a flat blade stirrer.
Apply a flood coat using a brush, roller, or spray. Ensure edges and end grain are fully coated.
Porous timber: For porous timber, apply a second coat using a spray, allowing for 20 minutes between coats.
Open grain timber: For open grain timber, sand back the first coat prior to applying the second coat. Wait 20 minutes prior to applying finishing coating.
Great job, you're ready to go!
