How to Upcycle a Vintage Chaise Lounge

Rediscover your sense of creativity with the unique design of a modern-Vintage Chaise.

Use the framework of an original antique chaise lounge and accentuate its natural beauty using Feast Watson’s Scandinavian Oil to give you a simple but elegant décor piece.

Getting @danielle_symes’ look for your Chaise Lounge

1. Get yourself an old pre-owned chaise that’s just begging to be made anew

2. Sand back the surface to bare timber

3. Use a rotary tool to remove any leftover paint or rust from hard-to-reach areas. Be sure to clean any debris before coating

4. Check that the chaise can still hold up your weight without bending. If not, reinforce its base.

Applying Feast Watson’s Scandinavian Oil

5. Mix the product well and make sure no bubbles are introduced.

6. Use a saturated cloth or pad to apply one coat of the product which will protect the timber while retaining its natural grain. TIP: If using a brush, use a clean cloth to work the oil into the timber after application.

7. Let it dry and enjoy your new reborn chaise.
